Although the plant can grow at daytime temperatures of about 10ºC, ideal conditions require 25ºC to 27ºC. The sesame plant grows to a height of 200 cm and can be harvested 90 to 150 days after planting. The sesame seeds grow inside pods on the plant which contain 50 to 100 seeds and can be extracted after drying the plant.
